Recipe of Besan ki Subji

Besan ki sabzi

Besan ki sabzi

Hi! This is one of my favorite recipe. I have learnt this from my mom and want to share with you all.

ingredients

  • besan-4tbsp
  • onion-2medium sized
  • ginger paste-1/2tsp
  • garlic paste-2tsp
  • tomato-1medium sized
  • garam masala-1tsp
  • cumin powder-1/2tsp
  • coriander powder-1/2tsp
  • coriander leaves
  • turmeric powder
  • chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • oil

method

Make a batter of besan turmeric and salt. Now heat tawa on stove and spread the batter to make a round dosa like shape. After 3 mints, when one side becomes reddish brown , roll it(like dosa) and keep it big plate. Now with the help of knife cut small pieces of about 1inches, make similar cubes with rest of the batter.

Make a fine paste of  onion and tomato separately.

Heat oil in a pan add onion paste and  fry till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder chili powder. Cook for 1 minute and then add tomato paste.

Cook it till it turns golden brown or oil starts spluttering from the masala. Now add 2 cups of water and bring it boil, add besan cubes to it and cook for 1 minute, garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot, it goes well with  rice and chapati.
