Recipe of Aaloo ka chokha (bihari style)
Hey this is a bihari recipe. It makes agood combination with litti or khichidi.
ingrdients
- boiled potato-4
- green chillies-2
- mustard oil-1tsp
- garlic-2 cloves
- onion-1/2 finely chopped
- coriander leaves
- salt to taste.
Method
Mash the boiled potatoes in bowl. Add chopped chillies, garlic, onion and coriander leaves. Mix it well, finally add mustard oil and salt.
Your chokha is ready…
Recipe of Litti
Hi!, litti is a bihari recipe. it is made with sattu(roasted bengal gram powder or phutna).its really yumm… i hope you too will like it.
Ingredients
- sattu
- green chillies-2-3
- garlic-3-4 cloves
- ginger-1 inch
- coriander leaves
- carom seeds(ajwain)
- salt
- mustard oil-2tbsp
- onion-1 medium sized
- lemon juice-1tsp
- wheat flour(atta)
Method
Kneed the flour with the help of water to make soft dough. In a bowl mix sattu with chopped onion, garlic, ginger, chillies and coriander leaves. Add mustard oil, carom seeds, lemon juice and salt and mix it well. Make round balls of dough and fill it with this sattu and keep it on tandoor. Remember to keep it turning regularly, so that it is cooked equally in every side. Serve hot with ghee and chokha.
Recipe of Besan ki Subji
Hi! This is one of my favorite recipe. I have learnt this from my mom and want to share with you all.
ingredients
- besan-4tbsp
- onion-2medium sized
- ginger paste-1/2tsp
- garlic paste-2tsp
- tomato-1medium sized
- garam masala-1tsp
- cumin powder-1/2tsp
- coriander powder-1/2tsp
- coriander leaves
- turmeric powder
- chili powder
- salt to taste
- oil
method
Make a batter of besan turmeric and salt. Now heat tawa on stove and spread the batter to make a round dosa like shape. After 3 mints, when one side becomes reddish brown , roll it(like dosa) and keep it big plate. Now with the help of knife cut small pieces of about 1inches, make similar cubes with rest of the batter.
Make a fine paste of onion and tomato separately.
Heat oil in a pan add onion paste and fry till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste,turmeric garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder chili powder. Cook for 1 minute and then add tomato paste.
Cook it till it turns golden brown or oil starts spluttering from the masala. Now add 2 cups of water and bring it boil, add besan cubes to it and cook for 1 minute, garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot, it goes well with rice and chapati.
